Lead a Specialised Finance Function. Shape the Future of Complex Scheme Advisory.
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Specialised Strata Finance & Advisory to lead and grow our specialised finance capability supporting Building Management Committees (BMCs), Building Management Groups (BMGs), mixed-use developments, community associations and other complex property structures.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead both the operational delivery and strategic development of our Specialised Strata Finance & Advisory function. You'll act as the subject matter expert for complex financial governance, funding structures, allocation methodologies and stakeholder advisory services.
You will partner with committees, developers, strata managers and senior stakeholders to deliver practical financial solutions while helping establish Bright & Duggan as a recognised leader in specialised scheme finance.
About the Role:
Strategic & Advisory Leadership
- Lead financial governance and advisory services across complex schemes and property structures.
- Influence key stakeholders on funding, levy structures, reserve adequacy and governance matters.
- Support tenders, proposals and business development activities.
- Design scalable frameworks, methodologies and service offerings.
- Identify business opportunities and emerging financial risks.
Technical Finance & Governance
- Oversee specialised finance processes, reporting and financial controls.
- Review and approve journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and year-end adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with AASB and IFRS accounting standards.
- Lead audit engagement activities and complex accounting assessments.
- Resolve significant allocation, revenue and governance issues.
Leadership & Capability Building
- Mentor and develop finance team members.
- Build advisory capability and reduce key-person dependency.
- Drive process improvement, automation and technology adoption.
- Partner across finance, technology and operational teams to improve capability and efficiency.
About You
You are a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys solving complex problems and building stakeholder relationships.
Essential Requirements
- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion) with significant relevant experience.
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within finance, accounting, advisory or property-related environments.
- Experience managing complex financial processes and stakeholder relationships.
- Proven ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance audiences.
- Experience leading projects, initiatives and process improvements.
Highly Desirable Backgrounds:
- Big 4 Accounting Firms including PwC, KPMG, Deloitte and EY
- Big 4 Audit or Consulting professionals with significant property sector exposure
- Property advisory, infrastructure, development or commercial real estate finance environments
- Commercial Finance Managers
- Senior Property Accountants with strong business partnering experience
- Finance Business Partners within property-related industries
- Professionals looking to transition from consulting into their first industry leadership role.
