Job Description
We are seeking for a Group Finance Manager to join our corporate finance team in a key leadership role supporting the ongoing growth and performance of Bright & Duggan Group. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position plays a critical part in the full corporate accounting cycle across a diverse, multi-entity environment, ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting, and meaningful commercial insight. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys balancing technical accounting, process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and team support. You will have the opportunity to influence how finance operates across the business, partner with senior leaders, and contribute to decisions that support sustainable growth, operational excellence, and continued improvement across the Group.
About the role:
Financial Reporting & Month-End
Lead the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate outputs
Prepare management accounts across multiple entities, supported by detailed schedules
Deliver insightful variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Review work prepared by the team, ensuring high-quality outputs
Technical Accounting & Compliance
Oversee journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and estimates
Ensure compliance with AASB/IFRS and statutory requirements
Support year-end reporting and external audit processes
Cash Flow & Financial Management
Deliver weekly cash reporting and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts
Identify potential risks and opportunities to optimise working capital
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles across the business
Systems, Process & Continuous Improvement
Take ownership of finance systems and ensure data integrity
Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
Drive automation and smarter ways of working, including AI-enabled enhancements
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across operations and leadership
Provide financial insight to support strategic initiatives and business cases
Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
Team Leadership & Capability
Review, coach, and support finance team members
Contribute to building capability within the team through knowledge sharing
Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement
About You:
- CA / CPA qualified or working towards
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a hands-on accounting role
- Strong technical accounting and reporting capability
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
Highly regarded experience in:
Real estate, strata, and facilities/building management (preferred)
Background within an accounting firm (essential)
