We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Coordinator to facilitate the repairs and maintenance of a portfolio of buildings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and aesthetics of the shared facilities, infrastructure, and amenities within the property. Reporting to the Branch Manager, The building manager will be the main contact for all repairs and maintenance and the conduit between the client and contractors, whilst being supported by a team of administration and onsite assistants. A reasonable level of computer literacy is essential to ensure your success in this position.
Importantly, you'll be representing the Cambridge Management Services brand and your professional attitude coupled with confident communication style will ensure that all matters are handled effectively for stakeholders.
About the role:
- Identify and address critical maintenance issues to ensure the safety and functionality of essential building systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and foster strong relationships to support client satisfaction.
- Participate in regular meetings with management, clients, and contractors, providing clear operational updates and addressing concerns.
- Develop and maintain a structured preventative maintenance schedule to support long‑term asset performance.
- Prepare and negotiate new contracts and service agreements to ensure alignment with building requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Respond to emergencies and urgent issues, communicating effectively with tenants and stakeholders throughout incidents.
- Ability to apply Microsoft Suite tools effectively in reporting, communication, and operational management.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively to ensure seamless service delivery and strong team integration.
About you:
- Strong understanding of building systems, facilities management, and maintenance best practice.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills to prioritise and execute multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to engage confidently with residents, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Experience in maintenance contract management.
- Budgeting and financial management capability to monitor expenses and work within allocated budgets.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications relevant to building operations, reporting, and communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to support operational continuity and collaborative outcomes.
