Job Description

Join our team and help maintain the architectural integrity of one of Queensland’s premier resort communities!

We are seeking a Design & Compliance Coordinator to manage the review and approval process for building, renovation, and landscaping applications within Hope Island Resort. This role ensures compliance with design guidelines and supports homeowners, builders, and contractors throughout the process.

About the role:

  • Coordinate and process design and compliance applications for building, renovation, and landscaping projects.
  • Manage the end-to-end ARA approval process, ensuring smooth and timely outcomes.
  • Review and assess submitted plans against architectural and design guidelines to maintain resort standards.
  • Liaise with homeowners, builders, architects, and contractors, providing expert guidance and resolving queries.
  • Maintain accurate records of applications, approvals, and compliance inspections.
  • Develop and update ARA policies and procedures in line with community standards.
  • Report regularly to the Principal Body Corporate on ARA activities and compliance matters.
  • Coordinate site inspections and enforce corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure transparent and timely communication with all stakeholders regarding decisions and requirements.

About You:

  • Knowledge of architectural design, building codes, or compliance processes
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience in body corporate or community governance (advantageous)
